Finally, made it to Peru...

Here are some sketches I managed to do while there. More to come...

An Illustrated Tribute to the Miami International Airport

Since my flight from NY was delayed, I missed my connecting flight in Miami to Lima. THe next flight was 24 hours later, the next day. I spent A LOT of time in the Miami Airport.

New York Times!

At the beginning of this summer, I was asked to create a painting to be used in an advertising campaign for Chase Bank. The campaign is for Harlem Week, which is really more of a month than a week. Anyway, the painting will be a full page in the New York Times on July 31st as well as on 50 telephone kiosks uptown. When I get a good photo of the painting I'll post it here. Who knew I'd become an illustrator again?

Special thanks to seasoned illustrator Alex for support and advice when negociating my fee for all this. Also thanks to Souleymane for putting up with a stress-crazed me as I tried to get sketches, idea and painting approved and completed in 5 days.

embarassed confession...

Ok, so it's been almost a year since I've updated this. Things have been busy, but soon, soon, I'll catch up.
